Ball Joint

Meyle Ball Joint

By making a pioneering ball joint plastic socket from a highly wear-resistant polymer material developed specifically for MEYLE-HD parts. Thanks to the special, new composition of this material, Meyle has succeeded in extending ball joint life significantly. A small ball head has a small surface and consequently surface pressure is high. Excessive stress is applied to the individual components and leads to premature wear and joint failure. For this reason MEYLE-HD parts have ball pins made exactly to the size required for longer service life. Meyle engineers use professional load simulation techniques to calculate the ideal ball pin diameter. Increasing the ball head at the pin is an efficient way of increasing the part's overall stability.
