Polycarbonate clear safety plate as components of welding goggles or helmets exceeds the high velocity and high impact requirements of the ANSI Z87.1 - 1989 and Canadian CSA Z94.3 Standards. Functions as either cover or safety plate. Eliminates the accidental use of a cover plate in instances where a safety plate is necessary.
